Kathy Chiang is a veteran of the collegiate esports space, starting as a student organizer at the University of California, Irvine in 2012. Her experience with the grassroots scene led to an internship at Riot Games before she joined UCI Esports as Assistant Director to develop the first official esports program at a public institution. There, she managed the arena facility, created policies, trained staff, and ran operations for key initiatives including summer camps and the UCI Esports Conference.
