LEXUS RETURNS FOR FOURTH YEAR AS A SPONSOR OF THE ESPORTS AWARDS
Lexus continues to establish esports’ legacy with Esports Awards as the 2022 title sponsor
LAS VEGAS, NV (September 30, 2022) — The Esports Awards, the most prestigious night in the esports calendar, is excited to announce the return of luxury automaker Lexus as its official title sponsor. Consolidating its commitment to the esports industry, Lexus has reignited its presence as the Esports Awards Official Auto Partner, marking a four-year collaboration.
Lexus will once again sponsor both the Esports Awards Streamer of the Year and Esports Organization of the Year, two of the industry’s most coveted awards. Lexus and the Esports Awards will also collaborate on several electrifying campaigns to recognize excellence in the esports space and help build legacies.
“Lexus is a staple partner of the Esports Awards and as Presenting Partner once again reaffirm their commitment to the competitive gaming space.” says Michael Ashford, CEO at Esports Awards, before adding: “It’s an honor to build with a luxury automotive company that always challenges our platform to build the best experience for attendees and viewers globally. Whilst it’s our fourth year with Lexus, it’s our first year of delivering a best-in-class event in Vegas alongside them.”
Lexus first entered the esports space in 2019 when it partnered with the Esports Awards, providing a selection of supercars from blockbuster films which took center stage at the Esports Stadium Arlington. As a result of the 2020 pandemic, Lexus and the Esports Awards collaborated to create exclusive and fully immersive content to broadcast throughout the ceremony. In 2021, Lexus evolved its activations by unveiling the Gamers’ IS, a one-of-a-kind automobile designed for and by gamers. Every year, Lexus has levelled up its contributions to the esports industry and helped to facilitate the Esports Awards journey to Las Vegas.
As the only ceremony to celebrate every facet of the esports industry, The Esports Awards makes Las Vegas, Nevada, its home for 2022. This year, the ceremony will play host to the biggest brands, teams and personalities in the esports sphere striving to take its celebration to new heights, giving its audience an experience like no other before.
Last year the Esports Awards saw record-breaking numbers throughout its campaign, boasting a total of 20 million in viewership and 1 million hours watched by fans. It also crushed the previous year’s figures with 250 million impressions and 100 million engagements across all of its platforms, and an incredible 10 million votes.
“Lexus loves the esports and gaming community, which is why we’re coming back for the fourth year in a row as the Esports Awards Official Auto Partner,” said Vinay Shahani, vice president of Lexus marketing. “We’re thrilled to support the event’s growth and its new location. We look forward to helping fans pursue their gaming passions while sharing the latest in electrified vehicles and immersive technologies from Lexus.”
