Below are all the details you need to understand how the campaign works, from its dates to voting rules and promotional opportunities that come with being a nominee.

The community, YOUR community, has its say in the final results. We recommend you activate them as soon as possible.

The Process

Across our five award groups

Stage 1. From Nominee to Finalist

Our panel of specialists conducted extensive research and reviewed thousands of names to shortlist an average of eight finalists per category for the Esports Awards.

3. You are a finalist

Congratulations on becoming a finalist. You are here because our team reached out immediately after the show.

You now have access to:

  1. Graphic assets to engage your community and boost your votes
  2. A dedicated Community Manager for all your questions and queries.

Our team will also reach out to you to discuss the following:

  • Documents and other pieces to supplement your entry with further details between the shortlist announcement date and the 20th of October. This stage allows entrants to include achievements and relevant material from the 2023-2024 esports season for the information of the judging panel. Supporting information is usually asked from Creative categories only.
  • Promo opportunities with our media partners, Esports Awards content pieces etc

4. Public Vote

Public votes open as soon as finalists are revealed.  Here’s everything you need to know:

Votes are open until November 7th.

The winners for Industry, Creative, Pro, On-Air Talent and several of the Entertainment award categories are decided by the public vote combined with the panel votes. The public vote is worth 25%, and the panel counts for 75%.

Voters can vote every day. 1 vote per category every 24 hours. Make sure your community uses this feature to support you throughout the campaign.

A turbo voting period will be organised at the end of the campaign, from October 31st to November 7th. Each vote placed during this period will count double. Keep your eyes open for the dates!

Once closed, the votes are then counted and verified and are moved on to the voting adjudication process.

5. Adjudication

Judging Panel

Our expert panel will convene prior to the awards, Each will vote independently on their 1st place finalist in each award category. The finalists will be awarded points based on the number of panel votes. These votes will be counted and independently verified.

Community votes

Finalists are given points based on their community vote ranking (this equates to 25% of the total vote weighting). Community points are then combined with the panel voted points to decide the winners for the Industry, Pro and On-Air Talent award categories for November 2024.

Tiebreaker

In the event of a tiebreaker, the decision is referred back to the community vote. If a 100% Public voted award is a draw, the panel will vote between the individual finalists that are tied.

You are now part of the select group of individuals and brands selected by the international community, and our panel of judges, for their impact within the esports industry.

Being among the elite group of Esports Awards finalists showcases your talent on a global stage. It signifies recognition and acknowledgment of your exceptional contributions and achievements in the competitive gaming landscape. The nomination as a finalist highlights your dedication and skill, opening doors for new potential partnerships, sponsorships, and career opportunities.

When does voting close?

Voting closes on November 7th, after a one-week Turbo Voting period (votes count double).

How can I support my campaign?

With the Panel:
We encourage all finalists to submit supporting information for the panel to review. This should showcase your work in esports over the last year, detailing why you stand out from your peers. It is essential for all Industry Award finalists to submit supporting information to ensure the panel can make an informed decision when voting. All supporting information should be sent to concierge@esportsawards.com by 20th October 2024.

With the Public:
We encourage you to get your following behind you! For the Entertainment, Industry, Creative, Pro & On Air Talent award categories the public vote makes up 25% of the final decision. If you are up for a 100% Public Voted award, the public vote makes 100% of the decision, so public backing is essential to take home the trophy!

How does the panel influence the process?

For each category the panel spend extensive time using the public nominations as a basis to form lists of finalists for each category. As the year progresses, numerous discussions take place over each category and each individual will vote towards their winner for the categories. This is then weighted with the public vote to determine the final winner for each category.

What is the judging period?

Finalists are judged on their work in esports from Nov 2023 – August 2024.

How is the winner of Panel's Choice Award chosen?

The panel evaluate those who have hugely impacted esports as a whole over the past year, considering the criteria for the award, and those who would not fit into other categories. After a full discussion the panel come to a consensus on who they feel best deserves this award for the year.
